# GlowRoll

> GlowRoll is a shared disposable camera app for weddings and events, made in Malaysia by
> CMeng Labs. The host creates a "roll" and shows a QR code; every guest shoots into the same
> roll from their phone's browser (no app, no account), and the photos stay hidden until the
> reveal, when everyone sees the whole roll together. Launches 21 November 2026 on Google Play
> and the App Store.

## How it works
1. Create & share: the host creates a roll in the GlowRoll app, picks the reveal time, and shows the QR code or sends the link.
2. Everyone shoots: guests scan and take photos into one shared roll. Like a disposable camera, guests see only their own shots; the host sees everything.
3. The reveal: at the chosen time (instantly, 24 hours later, or a custom time) the whole roll develops for every guest at once. The host can download the whole album.

## Pricing (Malaysian ringgit, one-time payment per event, no subscription)
Guests are unlimited and free; a roll's shots are shared by all guests.
- Free Roll: RM0, 24 shots, kept 7 days after the reveal.
- Casual Roll: RM24.90, 100 shots (about 10 guests), kept 30 days.
- Party Roll: RM59.90, 300 shots (about 30 guests), kept 60 days.
- Wedding Roll: RM199.90, 1,000 shots (about 100 guests), full-quality originals, kept 90 days.
- Top-ups: +200 or +500 shots before the reveal.

## Photo quality
The Wedding Roll keeps each photo's untouched original. Other rolls save a high-resolution copy (2560 pixels), far sharper than chat apps.

## Privacy
Only people with the event's QR code or link can join. Galleries are never public, and photos stay hidden from other guests until the reveal.

## Best for
Weddings, birthdays, parties, group travel and corporate events. Works in English and Chinese.

## Compared with alternatives
- Group chats (WhatsApp, WeChat): compress photos and bury them; most guests never send theirs.
- Shared albums (Google Photos, iCloud): guests need an account; photos appear instantly, no surprise.
- Physical disposable cameras: cost per camera, many come back unused, days to develop.
- GlowRoll: QR code, no app or account for guests, one shared roll, revealed together.

## Refunds
Postponed events: change the reveal time any time before the reveal. Cancelled before any photos were taken: full refund. See the [refund policy](https://glowroll.cmenglabs.com/refund/).
